Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD
watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain (Psalm 127:1)
Christ is always to be the center of our marriages. He is what our relationships should be built upon. If a house is not built on a solid foundation, it is sure to fall. One of the most important ways to go about making sure our marriages are always centered and firm on a solid place is to make sure we are praying for our spouse.
So I have a challenge for you. A challenge I hope you will take all through the month of November (and even months after that!). This is the month of Thanksgiving, and how grateful to God we should be for our husband or wife! So my challenge for you, is to pray. For your spouse. Every day. A different prayer. For one month.
How in the world can you think of enough prayers for one month? Well, I decided to help you out with that one. I’ve spent the last few weeks coming up with the following lists to guide you through each day. They are in PDF formats and can easily be printed to carry in your wallet, put on your bathroom mirror, in your Bible…wherever you will see them often (print off 25 if you need to)!
There is one daily list for the husband to take and pray for his wife (This one is blue) and one daily list for a wife to take and pray for her husband (this one is pink). I hope that you will choose to do this challenge together as each list corresponds with the other. You will be praying for similar things each day of the month.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and start praying! My prayer is that you will see a drastic change in your marriage this month.
