I’m an ice cream loving, photo taking, craft making kind of girl.
A type B personality with a big heart to make up for it.
I’m an extrovert stuck in an introvert’s body. Yea, I have two degrees in psychology and I still can’t figure that one out either.
Oh yea, I do have some credentials. If you’d like to call them that. I call them 6 long years and lots of tests and papers. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling.
I may not use them in a church counseling office as I once thought I would, but being a stay-at-home mom and blogger is what God has really called me to do.
I have the memory of a gold fish but my child usually gets fed each day so I call that success.
Another success? My marriage to Matt. It is not perfect. We have had many twists and turns in our almost 8 years of matrimony, but we hold on tight and are better friends than when we first started. I sure do love that guy. So yes, success is what I will classify that as.
We also created the most beautiful child in the entire world (I may be a little biased). So really, all we do is win. That handsome boy is named Isaac. He was much desired and prayed for and will forever be my miracle baby. He was born in April of 2013 and has rocked my world in the best kind of way. He has also rocked my world as a writer and I’m still trying to figure out how to both blog and be a mommy all at the same time. So far I kind of stink at the multi-tasking but I do hope you will be patient with me as I learn. And though I haven’t figured out blogging with one, we still somehow decided that two sounded like a number we could handle and our second child, Hallie Marie, will be making her appearance in June, 2015.
Oh, and we have a cat. She kind of fell into our laps, but we love her a little bit of a lot. She is really Matt’s cat but he would never admit it.
I created this blog 4 years ago out of a pure passion for marriage. A passion to see them grow and to not only succeed, but to thrive.
While I will primarily be writing on marriage, you might find the occasional post on motherhood, parenting, Jesus, friends, and the like. Why? Well, because it’s my blog and I do what I want.
I take no credit for anything you might read and enjoy or even learn from. I have a pretty amazing Heavenly Father who I rely on fiercely to write through me and inspire anything of value on this site. Really, no marriage can truly thrive without Him as the center.
Thanks for checking me out, er… the site out. Please don’t check me out, I’m married. I hope you will read, comment, and let me know what you think. I’m a flawed person, in a flawed marriage, trying to live a holy life with the indwelling Christ within me. I will definitely need feedback along the way.
